    SoundHost is the world’s leading social sound platform where anyone can listen to or create sounds and share them everywhere.

    Be a listener. Find new music to love. Follow creators on SoundHost that you are interested in and watch your Stream grow with new audio everyday. Save your favorite tracks and playlists in your Likes and get surprised when our Related tracks recommendations help you discover even more.

    Be a Curator. Gather your own following. Listen, save, and follow up-and-coming creators, build hit playlists and share your passion with your followers.

  • How do I upload my music on SoundHost?

    Browser and OS compatibility
    You might encounter difficulties when uploading iIf you are using an older browser and/or computer, so we recommend keeping things up to date. We do encourage users to use Google Chrome to have the best SoundHost experience.

    File types, size, and length
    MP3 and M4A (MP4) audio files supported.
    The following formats will be added soon: AIFF, WAVE (WAV), FLAC, ALAC, OGG, MP2, AAC, AMR, and WMA files.

    The maximum file size is 500MB, and the longest file length we support is 8 hours. Anything longer than that cannot be transcoded properly by our system. If your file exceeds these criteria, please split it into separate uploads.

    Uploading individual tracks

    First steps
    To upload a track, go to the Upload page. You can get there at any time by clicking on the Upload button on the right navigation bar or in profile navigation:

    Please note: If you are a Free or Pro user, you will see how many megabytes you have remaining on your account on the right of the Upload page.

    Uploading multiple tracks

    First steps

    To upload multiple tracks, go to the Upload page. You can get to the Upload page at any time by going to the Upload button on your right navigation bar or in profile navigation.

    You can either click ‘Choose file to upload’ and select all tracks that you want to upload.

    Most SoundHost users find music channels through search results and Explore, so optimizing your tracks for discovery will help you reach a wider audience.

    Ensure your tracks are well indexed and easily discoverable by optimizing your metadata through the use of strong titles, descriptions, and tags.

  • How do I remove my music from SoundHost?

    To remove your music from SoundHost, you’ll need press the "Delete" button The "Delete" button is on each of your tracks

  • Downloading tracks

    You can download tracks once you have signed in to your SoundHost account by clicking on the download button beneath the track:

    Please note: Not all tracks are downloadable. If you don't see a download button, it means the user who uploaded it did not intend for it to be downloadable. Additionally, only individual tracks can be downloaded and playlists as a whole are not available.

  • Embedded players

    You can embed tracks from SoundHost on any website or blog that supports HTML code using our embedded players

    Embedding a track

    To get an embed code for your track, click the 'Share'. Click on the embed tab to view what options you have to embed your player.

    Copy-paste the embed code from 'Embed Code'. Next, copy the code and paste it into the HTML editor section of your site’s editor.

  • Your playlists

    Playlists are sets or ‘albums’ that you can create using your own or other people's tracks on SoundHost.

    You can view your playlist in the profile navigation or on the main profile page

    We also recommend limiting the number of tracks in your playlist to a maximum of 250 for it to easily load.

  • Sharing to social networks

    At SoundHost, you can easily share your tracks on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Vk, and email. This way, we can provide a great experience for your listeners and put your profile and sounds front and center to give listeners more opportunities to engage.
